Chris and Anica's Palladium Wedding | Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

Anica and Chris had such an amazing wedding day, I had to break it down to my favorites just to cover the highlights!

My favorite parts of the day:

Anica and her Dress

- First of all, Anica's dress was straight out of some rose gold fantasy! The beading, the tulle, the layers. Seriously you guys, the pictures are beautiful, but real life, this dress was amazing. She also had her sweet momma there to help her put her dress on.

Their First Look

- We had been planning their first look for weeks. But nothing can prepare you for the reaction you'll have seeing your partner for the first time on your wedding day. Watching Chris's face light up when he saw her dress was just absolute magic.

Wrinkles and Polo's Wedding Day Debut

- It just wouldn't have been their special day without a visit from their fur babies. And who doesn't go absolutely giddy for pups!? Their little wiggly butts made the day even more perfect.

The Details

- There was definitely no lack of attention to detail with Anica and Chris. From their invitation suite, to the custom matching floral bow ties, to the peonies flown in from Europe that had been in storage since May. They even had a painter come during the reception to paint the scene (YES SERIOUSLY). There was even, what can only be described as, a balloon sculpture for the ceremony! It was a photographers dreeeeeam.

The Vendors

- The day just wouldn't have been the same without the amazing vendor team (special shoutouts below). You want the best day possible, you gotta hire the pros! We all had so much fun working together to make Anica and Chris' day special.

Seriously, I could go on and on. Cheers to the newlyweds!

Emily and Nate's Omni Wedding | Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

Friends, it's time for Emily and Nate's beautiful Omni wedding! Their wedding had everything; beautiful florals, a show-stopping gown, lots of laughter, dinosaurs (yes! DINOSAURS!), and tons of dancing. They have such wonderful, loving family and friends, all of whom really know how to get down. I'm so excited to share this blog with all of you.

Before I do, you have to read how Nate proposed to Emily and why dinosaurs have sentimentality for them.

"Our parents decided they wanted to meet and picked Chicago as the place to do it. Both entire families decided to make the trip up on mild April weekend.

The plans that Saturday were that Nate would show his family around Chicago and Emily would hang out with hers before they head back to Indiana. Emily's mom wanted to tell his parents goodbye since she didn't get to properly the night before at the pizza place where they officially met.  Emily found out that Nate and his family would be at the Field Museum so he suggested we meet them there, since it was on the way out of town. Upon arriving, Emily really needed to go to the bathroom but her family didn't want to pay to go in. So Emily and her brother Alex paid to go into the Field Museum as they waited for Nate's family to arrive.  Emily received a text from her mom a short while later asking her to meet them outside by the large dinosaur.

Upon her arrival, Emily noticed that Nate's family was also there. (How'd they all know to meet there?) Nate walked up a few minutes later with his sisters then quickly asked to get a picture in front of the Dinosaur with his sisters before they went in. He's sister Marnee handed Emily the camera and while Emily was setting up the shot, a guitar started playing close by. Then Nate stopped Emily and began singing a song...He sang a blend of three songs while their families looked on. (side-note, their first dance will be one of those songs "Stand By Me")  Emily was completely overwhelmed...didn't cry only shook with nerves and the fact that everyone was watching. Once Nate finished singing, he told Emily the reason he had brought her to the Dinosaur was when they first started dating Emily sent Nate a comic of two Dinosaurs that basically showed the small dinosaur always wanting to be close to the bigger one. So from that point on, they called the other their "Dino". So Nate wanted to bring Emily to the biggest Dino he could find. He then got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him. And the extra best part...he got it all on camera!"

Cheers to the newlyweds!

The Dog Blog

Ohhhhhh my goodness you guys. I have been thinking about doing this blog for months, and now, in the dead of winter, when my soul most needs uplifting, I have done it.

It should come as no surprise that I go absolutely ga-ga for dogs, and even more so when I get texts from clients asking, "Hey can we bring our dog(s)?" To which I always respond with an emphatic, "YESSSSSSSSSS."

So I've put together a few highlights from 2017 that feature the best good boys and good girls, our bark-ners in crime. So grab a cookie/biscuit/treat, and snuggle up for some honest to goodness cuteness.

First meet Chopper, aka Sir Snugglesworth! This sweet boy warmed my heart with his love of fresh cooked eggs, his bone, and his insatiable desire to snuggle with his momma Kate. He is a grade A good boy. I mean LOOK AT HIS SMILE!

My next four-legged friend is Quincy! Just look at his handsome face! Quincy is a Newfoundland/Poodle mix aka Newfypoo aka Newdle. YES... NEWDLE. We walked to his favorite spots in the neighborhood for his humans' engagement session. But let's be honest, it was mostly a glamour session for Q and he nailed it. Quincy is fond of food, snuggling, and being totally lazy.

Now meet, Money! I first met little Money when her humans' were getting married. Money and I have had a couple sessions over the years, including a special appearance on the big day (her big day if you ask her!) But one thing is for sure, Money's cuteness is priceless (see what I did there!?) and she's got a lot of personality in that teeny little body.

Say hello to Dallas and Karma, aka Bubba and Baby Girl! This adopted brother/sister duo live in the swankiest downtown abode. Bubba and Baby Girl are always up to some hilarious antics, including making the best faces on camera. Their humans are getting married this year and making this little family official.

Polo and Wrinkles are the next babies on my list. And they do not disappoint! These two buds met me in front of their house to do some shots for their modeling portfolio's. I say their careers as professional model pups are looking very promising! Wouldn't you say?

This is George and his family. I got a two part photoshoot for Georgie because he is just that cute.  Seriously, look at his outfits. George has some serious game! He's so fashionable! And that head tilt... GIVE. ME. A. BREAK. I just can't.

Next meet Piper, the proud Purdue Alum. She has a honorary degree in Being a Good Girl with a minor in Chasing Squirrels. Piper is quite the intellectual but she really enjoys life's simple pleasures.

Next meet Stella! Stella's humans are getting married this year and she wanted to be a part of letting everyone know! When Stella isn't helping plan the wedding, she's chasing all the tennis balls and spending time with her uncle.

The dog blog wouldn't be complete without an intro to Bruce! This handsome fella is best friends with his cat siblings. He also loves long walks and chewing/playing with his favorite duck toy. His human's are also getting married this year and he has a registry at PetSmart (not really but wouldn't that be awesome.)

This is Boozer! His humans got married last year and he got to walk them back down the aisle after they said, "I do!" Boozer totally stole the show's finale and even got to be on the Thank You card that went out afterwards to all his fans. When he isn't being the most perfect boy on camera, he's swimming in his human's lake and living his best life.

We've almost reached the end of this dog blog, and I would be remised if I didn't take the opportunity to introduce my own doggos. Meet Edie (left) and Winnie (right). Winnie enjoys air conditioning, a nest of blankets, and all the cookies. Edie has the squishiest face, is the best at frisbee, and gets scared of her own toots. They each have their own respective roles in the business. Winnie is Head of Hooman Resources while Edie is Head of Barketing. They are paid generously in pets and cookies.

That was a lot of cuteness in one blog, and I'm not sure if any other blog I write will ever top this one, but I have to end with one more intro. Meet Phoebe and Bagheera! This brother/sister feline outfit made the most adorable appearance on their humans' big day. They even had special collars made for the occasion. Hello fancy!

That wraps it up you guys! I don't know about you, but I have all the feels right now. I'm so excited for another year of pets at sessions and cannot wait to share them all with you!

Extra special thanks to Stacy Able for photographing me and my two babies.

Magdalena and Jim Wedding | Dayton Wedding Photographer

Say hello to the darling Magdalena and Jim!

Their wedding in Dayton, OH was oh so dreamy and beautiful. From her blue Badgley Mischka, to his tears as she walked down the aisle, every detail and moment throughout their day was something to cherish and remember.

I loved getting to know Magdalena and Jim. M is so sweet and gentle. J is hilarious and worships the ground M walks on. Getting to joke and laugh with them both made me love their wedding so much more. It was so sweet to watch the way the dote on each other.

I'm so happy for the both of them, and cannot wait to share these images.

Cheers to the newlyweds!
