Chris and Anica's Palladium Wedding | Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

Anica and Chris had such an amazing wedding day, I had to break it down to my favorites just to cover the highlights!

My favorite parts of the day:

Anica and her Dress

- First of all, Anica's dress was straight out of some rose gold fantasy! The beading, the tulle, the layers. Seriously you guys, the pictures are beautiful, but real life, this dress was amazing. She also had her sweet momma there to help her put her dress on.

Their First Look

- We had been planning their first look for weeks. But nothing can prepare you for the reaction you'll have seeing your partner for the first time on your wedding day. Watching Chris's face light up when he saw her dress was just absolute magic.

Wrinkles and Polo's Wedding Day Debut

- It just wouldn't have been their special day without a visit from their fur babies. And who doesn't go absolutely giddy for pups!? Their little wiggly butts made the day even more perfect.

The Details

- There was definitely no lack of attention to detail with Anica and Chris. From their invitation suite, to the custom matching floral bow ties, to the peonies flown in from Europe that had been in storage since May. They even had a painter come during the reception to paint the scene (YES SERIOUSLY). There was even, what can only be described as, a balloon sculpture for the ceremony! It was a photographers dreeeeeam.

The Vendors

- The day just wouldn't have been the same without the amazing vendor team (special shoutouts below). You want the best day possible, you gotta hire the pros! We all had so much fun working together to make Anica and Chris' day special.

Seriously, I could go on and on. Cheers to the newlyweds!

Katie and Dejan's Sycamore at Mallow Run Wedding

Katie and Dejan's Sycamore Wedding was everything good you could wish for your wedding. Beautiful weather, gorgeous details, a beautiful bouquet of fragrant flowers, wonderful guests, and two partners who are absolutely head-over-heals in love with one another.

One thing I just absolutely cannot deny was my favorite part of the day was the way that Dejan treats Katie. He absolutely adores her in a very special way. He has this beautiful personality himself, and Katie is such a doll, that the two of them together make the perfect pair. The way they look at one another, especially the way Dejan looks at Katie (see photos below.)

I cannot believe my luck in finding these two. Their engagement session was so much fun, and it still might be one of my favorite engagement sessions from last year. I am so excited to share this set of pictures, these beautiful mementos from a perfect day.

Cheers to the newlyweds!

Emily and Nate's Omni Wedding | Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

Friends, it's time for Emily and Nate's beautiful Omni wedding! Their wedding had everything; beautiful florals, a show-stopping gown, lots of laughter, dinosaurs (yes! DINOSAURS!), and tons of dancing. They have such wonderful, loving family and friends, all of whom really know how to get down. I'm so excited to share this blog with all of you.

Before I do, you have to read how Nate proposed to Emily and why dinosaurs have sentimentality for them.

"Our parents decided they wanted to meet and picked Chicago as the place to do it. Both entire families decided to make the trip up on mild April weekend.

The plans that Saturday were that Nate would show his family around Chicago and Emily would hang out with hers before they head back to Indiana. Emily's mom wanted to tell his parents goodbye since she didn't get to properly the night before at the pizza place where they officially met.  Emily found out that Nate and his family would be at the Field Museum so he suggested we meet them there, since it was on the way out of town. Upon arriving, Emily really needed to go to the bathroom but her family didn't want to pay to go in. So Emily and her brother Alex paid to go into the Field Museum as they waited for Nate's family to arrive.  Emily received a text from her mom a short while later asking her to meet them outside by the large dinosaur.

Upon her arrival, Emily noticed that Nate's family was also there. (How'd they all know to meet there?) Nate walked up a few minutes later with his sisters then quickly asked to get a picture in front of the Dinosaur with his sisters before they went in. He's sister Marnee handed Emily the camera and while Emily was setting up the shot, a guitar started playing close by. Then Nate stopped Emily and began singing a song...He sang a blend of three songs while their families looked on. (side-note, their first dance will be one of those songs "Stand By Me")  Emily was completely overwhelmed...didn't cry only shook with nerves and the fact that everyone was watching. Once Nate finished singing, he told Emily the reason he had brought her to the Dinosaur was when they first started dating Emily sent Nate a comic of two Dinosaurs that basically showed the small dinosaur always wanting to be close to the bigger one. So from that point on, they called the other their "Dino". So Nate wanted to bring Emily to the biggest Dino he could find. He then got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him. And the extra best part...he got it all on camera!"

Cheers to the newlyweds!

Maggie and Kyle's Sycamore at Mallow Run Wedding | Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

Maggie and Kyle were married at the stunning Sycamore at Mallow Run. Their wedding ceremony was small and intimate, made of their closest friends and family... and their fur baby Boozer! It just wouldn't be the perfect day to these two without having their fluffy companion there to celebrate with them!

After the ceremony was a cocktail hour, where the rest of their dear ones trickled in to prepare for a night of food, toasts, dinner, drinking, and dancing! And BOY WAS THERE DANCING! Two dance floors were going at one point. Tell me... have you been to a wedding where the dancing was so good that a second dance floor spawned spontaneously? I didn't think so. Props to my friend Jason to making the magic happen (even though my slice of cake that was sitting on the floor by my bag was laid waste due to the vigorous dancing that occurred on the second dance floor... RIP cake.)

I'm so honored to have met and worked with Maggie and Kyle. Their sweet families have been such a huge part of the process, I feel as if I know them just as well. Of course, having the most perfect vendor team working to make your day the best ever also made everything extra special and magical. Props to my dear friend and planner, Jillian, for making the day as smooth as butter. Be sure to check all the amazing vendors at the bottom, they deserve all the praise, recognition, props, and slaps on the back possible.

Cheers to the newlyweds!
