Kayla & Matt’s Glen Club Wedding

Kayla and Matt’s wedding at The Glen Club was one of those days where everyone just seemed genuinely happy to be there. From their incredibly lovely wedding party to a dance floor that filled almost immediately, there was such an easy, joyful energy surrounding these two all day long.

We started their portraits at the Chicago Botanic Garden, which gave us no shortage of beautiful backdrops to explore. The English Walled Garden was a favorite, with its manicured greenery, stone pathways, and classic garden architecture. When a little Chicago rain joined us, we headed into the greenhouses, which might have been one of the best surprises of the day. The glass, lush tropical greenery, and beautiful diffused light made such a gorgeous setting for Kayla and Matt’s wedding portraits.

Their entire wedding party and family deserves some credit here, too. They were so gracious and completely game for whatever we needed to do to make the most of our time at the gardens. It always makes such a difference when a couple is surrounded by people who are just as excited about their day as they are, and that was absolutely the case with this group.

A Glen Club Wedding Reception

Back at The Glen Club, the reception space was classic and elegant, filled with beautiful white florals and timeless details. It was the perfect setting for the celebration that followed.

And celebrate they did!

The dance floor was packed almost immediately (shout out DJ Mike), and that energy carried through the night. Everyone was ready to dance, laugh, and celebrate Kayla and Matt, and there was something so infectious about how happy the entire room felt.

What I’ll remember most about this Glen Club wedding is simply how lovely everyone was. Kayla and Matt moved through their day with so much joy and graciousness, their friends and families were wonderful to be around, and there was a real sense that everyone knew they were celebrating something special.
