Stephanie and James make my heart melt. These two love birds have been living and loving long distance for quite some time. So imagine their excitement when their wedding finally arrived and the merging of their apartments finally happened! And imagine MY excitement getting to be their wedding photographer!
Typically, I sent out a questionnaire to my brides and grooms a few weeks before their weddings. A lot of the questions are about timeline and who the vendors will be, but I've recently added some questions about their relationship. I wanted to share Stephanie's answers because I felt like they were so sweet and fun. So I'm gonna let her do the rest of the talking!
How they met: We both went to Carmel High School but even though our lockers were only one apart our freshman year, we didn't really meet until our senior year! We really got to know each other though our church's youth group when we were put on the same team for planning a retreat for other high school students.
How he proposed: James proposed at the same table we sat at on our first date (at Giorgio's pizza downtown)! I should have been expecting it considering he wore the same outfit he wore on our first date but I was completely clueless and totally got surprised when he got down on one knee! I even joked when we walked into the restaurant, "oh what, are you gonna propose?". Yep, clueless. James had the rest of the day planned for us after he proposed with a trip to the IMA gardens and dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, it was absolutely perfect!!
Hobbies they like to do as a couple: We love going out for food and drinks, exploring new places, being outside, and country concerts! After being at schools 600 miles apart for 4 years, right now we pretty much enjoy anything that we get to do together!
Favorite part about planning their wedding: I love working on all the little details to see the wedding I've always dreamed of come together! It's hard not to enjoy it all when I know it's all leading up to the happiest day of our lives!
Plans for the future: We're excited to finally be living in the same city and are looking forward to finally moving into our first apartment together! James will be starting a new job soon and I'll be starting physical therapy school at IUPUI in August. No huge plans-- just enjoying life as a married couple! :)
