I have been really looking forward to writing this post. Mainly because love Nathan and Lauren and we have known each other for some time. Nathan and I knew each other through those precious awkward teen years, and we used to go to Cornerstone together "back in the day." Then sweet Lauren came along and the rest, as they say, is history.
So imagine my excitement when they called me to ask me to shoot their wedding, then imagine my even greater excitement when they told me I would be going to Connecticut to do it. I knew it would be an adventure that I couldn't pass up. So a little over a year later, me and my two good friends loaded up the car and headed to quaint little Mystic, CT. (Ever seen Mystic Pizza with Julia Roberts? Same town.)
Lauren and Nathan's wedding began at this amazing 350+ year old mansion that was moved here from England a hundred years ago. Their ceremony overlooked this beautiful hill that lead down to the water. The weather was perfect that day, and all went smoothly. After a beautiful ceremony lead by our great friend Gary, and a lovely poem read by the darling Abigail, we were off to the reception where a beluga named, Juno, and two pretty adorable penguins awaited us.
After much celebrating, dancing, toasting, and whale watching, Lauren and Nathan's day came to a close. I can't tell you how much fun I had along the way.
Much love you two, I can't wait to come back and visit! Cheers! xoxo
